Did Santa bring you DSLR bling for Christmas??
So the Christmas chaos should hopefully be over....the over abundance of gifts, the overdose of chocolate, turkey and the fixings should be done and hopefully life is looking a little bit closer to normal....I know in my house it is.
I know many people asked for new cameras this year, or new lenses or other goodies and I hope Santa was excellent to you!
If you've had a chance to play around and get more comfortable but you want to take it to the next level now is the TIME!!

Are you using protection??
Some people in class have asked if I use filters on my camera...I've shared that I personally do not which of course doesn't mean it is right or wrong just my personal preference.
I found a pretty good article with some interesting comments about this very topic and and thought I would share for those of you interested.

New class date!
So once again I have had some time to look at my schedule and taking into consideration the feedback from all of you.... I have come up with a date for the next beginners class!
The date for the next beginners class will be September 11th, 2011.

Upcoming Class Dates
So I have finally had a chance to sit down and juggle my schedule and have come with 2 dates! One for a beginners group and one for an advanced group.
The date for the Beginners class will be July 10 and the advanced class will be right after on July 17.

I am so excited to announce my next Flashy Mamas beginners bootcamp class. I will be teaching the class Sunday July 9th from 10am-2:30pm. The class is limited to ten students, so register early! To register email me at flashymamas@gmail.com and I will send you a paypal invoice. Class tuition is $109, and you can break it into two PayPal payments of $54.50 if you would like.
How do you know if this class is for you?
*you own a sweet digital slr camera and leave it firmly planted on “Auto” or "the green button" and hope they turn out.
*you have been looking for a hands on class, in easy to understand terms that allows you to practice during the class*
*you need a Saturday off for some YOU time!
My goal is to have you walk away from my class understanding how to use your manual settings, what settings to use in various shooting situations and of course, to have better images!
You will walk away with tons of knowledge, a new photo friend or two or three, full bellies, hands on practice, All of this for $109 You can even break the class payment into two payments. Class size is limited to only 10 students- so don’t miss out, sign up soon!
